We develops experimental robotic systems that explore new forms of interaction between humans and autonomous machines.
Our projects combine robotics, embedded electronics, software and performance to validate emerging technologies in real-world environments.
Today's autonomous systems are designed primarily for industrial environments.
They rarely operate safely in close proximity to people and offer limited possibilities for natural interaction.
This restricts their adoption in education, culture, public spaces and future service applications.
We use artistic environments as demanding real-world laboratories to develop technologies that make autonomous systems more understandable, expressive and approachable.

Most robotic systems are tested in laboratories.
We test ours in front of real people.
Live performances expose autonomous systems to unpredictable environments, human behaviour and complex spatial interactions.
This allows us to rapidly validate new technologies while creating memorable public experiences.
